Alternative Fuel Projects

Turn-key whole-tire derived fuel handling system.  Project includes:  engineering, design, fabrication and installation of an automated whole-tire delivery system to a cement preheater kiln system.  The system is designed to deliver 2 to 6 tons per hour of whole tires and includes the following equipment:  semi-truck dumper, walking floor, Transco Tire Sorter, accumulator belts, elevator, power turn conveyors, weigh-scale, plus a double air-lock feed chute to introduce the whole tires to the calciner.  The system is designed to handle semi-truck and passenger tires.  Project scope includes electrical and control interface with the customer’s current plant control logic scheme.

Engineering, fabrication and installation of a temporary whole tire feed system.  The system included a double-air lock feed gate, chute and load cell mounted weigh-scale.  The project included electrical controls with output signals so the customer can integrate the system into an existing control platform.

Whole-tire derived fuel handling system.  Project includes:  engineering, design, fabrication and installation of an automated whole-tire delivery system to a mid-kiln wet process system.  The system is designed to deliver 2 to 6 tons per hour of whole tires and includes the following equipment:  semi-truck dumper, two-walking floor units, Transco Tire Sorter
and take-away conveyor, accumulator belts, incline conveyor, weigh-scale, plus a Cadence Mid-kiln delivery system and reject station.  The system
is designed to handle semi-truck and passenger tires.

Waste-derived fuel handling system. Project includes: engineering, design, fabrication and installation of a fuel receiving bin, walking floor, spiked rolls, discharge screw,
inclined conveyor, 8" Eductor and piping runs to deliver the fuel to the precalciner. The project delivers 1-6 tons per hour of waste plastics, tire fluff,
baby diapers and cherry pits. The system included a weigh-scale to accurately deliver the fuel stream to the eductor for material transport.
